Senior Planning Manager (Data Center Construction)
Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and dynamic Senior Planning Manager to join our Project Controls team in North America. This role presents an exciting opportunity to help define and deliver planning and scheduling support across our data center construction projects, as well as playing a key role in the evolution of Equinix Global Project Controls.
Responsibilities
Lead the support of our construction management org, leveraging planning and scheduling to drive successful delivery of Equinix projectsEstablish AMER discipline hub, building relationships and trust with our GDCP stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and alignment on schedule dataBe a lead contributor to the future strategic direction and evolution of construction planning and scheduling at EquinixProactively contribute expertise and engage with stakeholders to drive fit-for-purpose solutionsActively build relationships with our GCs and support/coach to ensure Equinix standards are understood and achievedProvide GC schedule assessment and analysis insights to Project Managers to support data driven decision makingDevelop the necessary regional specifics for construction planning and scheduling processes and deliverables, whilst ensuring a level of consistency with global standards - information gathering and benchmarking, schedule templates, GC requirements, etc.Drive the benefits at portfolio level, using data to produce insights, identify trends, and support escalations when neededDevelop and provide best-in-class customer reporting, placing the customer at the center of our reporting approach using innovative solutionsProvide hands-on planning and scheduling support to projects as and when requiredProvide internal schedule assurance in support of project funding and approvals processEnsure consistency of construction deliverables, audit compliance and adherence to process between projectsLead construction planning and scheduling related initiatives - time to market, schedule estimates, benchmarking etc.Support wider construction project controls initiatives as required, taking a leading role within our global design and construction teamSupport the development and implementation of construction productivity tracking initiativesSupport the evaluation and adoption of new technology innovations into our construction process and project controls services
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technical field, or project managementProven track record in construction planning & scheduling, preferably within the data center industryExcellent working knowledge of planning software - Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project are essentialExperience working at portfolio / multi project level, with ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organizationExcellent communication and presentation skills are essentialExperience of implementing new technology in construction/project controls would be advantageous

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $143,000 to $235,000• California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $137,000 to $225,000• Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $124,000 to $204,000Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
