The primary focus of the Senior Specialist will be to support the activities for the payroll life cycle accurately and timely. You will have a key role in the support of all payroll activities in addition to providing support to the payroll team. As the Senior S pecialist you will be expected to upskill and develop colleagues through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfill their role while performing champion responsibilities for innovation .
Key responsibilities :
Ability to support payroll and the payroll team from end to end according t o the defined standards and client requirements including all associated payroll tasks and transactionsAbility to utilize the hrX suite of tools as it relate s to payroll processing and all associated activitiesUndertake, support and manage a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when an issue occurs resulting in a client escalation ensuring that mitigating actions are implementedPro-actively identify ups e ll opportunities and support the Change Request process when deviations from the contractually defined standard scope of service are identified . T his may include , but is not limited to, estimating and impl emen ting changesU nderstand standard and client specific payroll reports including statutory year end reporting needs as required by the customer contract and scope of serviceMaintains current knowledge of legislation requirements; system updates, changes and overall payroll procedures while managing the payroll legislation road mapAnswer payroll related questions and requests from the team and from clients ; supporting the Operations Manager with client engagement activitiesUpdate, maintain and enforce the usage of t he Defined Work Instructions (DWIs)and other process documentationAbility to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential informationAbility to resolve and support technical and functional issues escalated from other team members and clientsEnsure compliant use of all systemsSupport and m aintain the client solution workbook and provision functional support as neededParticipate and champion innovation activities to drive continuous improvementSupport and guide project implementations and go-livesUpskill and develop colleagues through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfil their roleParticipates in projects and activities as needed and assigned
