• Preferred experience in payroll processing and accounting for EMEA regions; mainly Ireland, Bulgaria, France, and Mexico
• Responsible for the collection and validation of payroll inputs. Work closely with the payroll vendors and service providers to ensure salary is processed on time.
• End-to-end handling of payroll accounting for international subsidiaries including journal entries and reconciliations preparation.
• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely closure of all statutory payments and their recording in books of accounts.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and other compliances.
• Good knowledge of accruals and prepaid related to payroll.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all payroll records. Implement and maintain internal controls.
• Handling employee or salary, tax, social security, and accounting-related queries
• Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
• Build controls in the process to be compliant, ensuring nil findings in internal and external audits.
Qualifications
• 5-7 years of payroll processing and accounting work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Master's or Professional certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of payroll and statutory regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong conceptual understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations related to payroll accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other payroll software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
