Who we're looking for
Toyota's Corporate Shared Services Payroll Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Payroll Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the accurate and timely payroll processing for 55,000+ team members across the North American Operations.
Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the team's objective to focus on accurate and timely payroll processing and delivering excellent team member experience.
This position is based at our North American Headquarters in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location. Relocation isn't available for this position.
What you'll be doing
Ensure delivery of accurate and timely payroll processing for biweekly payrolls for a total of 10k team members working in Canada.Partner with Canada finance teams to ensure funding is submitted accurately and timely.Manage the processing of all Records of Employment (ROE).Partner with third-party vendors related to payroll processing and delivery, including special projects and process improvements.Research and resolve business partner and team member inquiries/issues providing high-quality customer service utilizing a case management system, including complex payroll transactions with recommended resolution to issues and errors.Practice process improvement techniques to identify, re-engineer, and enhance processes to improve quality and efficiency. Identify and resolve escalations or complex issues with strong emphasis on root cause analysis.Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing multiple systems (i.e., HR, Payroll, Time & Labor, General Ledger, etc.) to support a unique and complex organization.Lead business requirements gathering from key stakeholders; work with internal/external partners to configure, test, and launch changes related to various payroll systems.Subject matter expert for assigned year-end activities to ensure accurate W2 Reporting and Tax Filings.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or closely related discipline, OR equivalent professional work experience relevant to this position.Extensive payroll processing experience for a multi-FEIN/multi-state employer, with a minimum employee population of 10,000. Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills.Proven experience to be successful in a lead role for cross-functional projects.Experience with UKG Pro.Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.General accounting and tax reconciliation knowledge and experience.
Added bonus if you have
Active American Payroll Association (APA) membership and/or National Payroll Institute membership, and CPP/FPC or PCP/CPM designations.Canada payroll processing, tax filing, and ROE experience.Thorough knowledge of Canadian payroll laws and payroll tax and regulatory requirements.Experience with multiple HR/Payroll and time and labor systems, such as Workday, Kronos (Workforce Central/Dimensions), and Service Now.Experience working in a manufacturing industry.Experience working in a Shared Services environment.
