To help us fuel accelerated growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Payment Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all payments operations activities in Peru:
Oversee and manage all payment operations activities in the Peru region.
2. Ensure Peru's daily payments operations:
Manage a team of 2 Treasury Analysts to ensure daily operations, including merchant, vendor, and intercompany payments.
3. Develop and improve payment processes:
Implement strategies for the simplification, standardization, and automation of payment processes.
4. Supervise daily payment accounting in SAP:
Ensure accurate and timely recording of payment transactions in SAP.
5. Coordinate with Treasury Manager daily FX transactions:
Collaborate with the Treasury Manager on daily foreign exchange transactions.
6. Provide information for Cash Flow Forecast:
Contribute to the preparation of cash flow forecasts by providing relevant information.
7. Supervise month-end closing:
Oversee the month-end closing process by delivering required schedules.
8. Support ad-hoc payment operations projects:
Collaborate on special projects and handle new payment requirements.
9. Resolve customer inquiries about payments:
Address and resolve inquiries related to payments from internal and external customers.
10. Supervise the maintenance of internal controls:
Oversee the maintenance of internal controls to safeguard corporate assets and fiscal system integrity.
11. Payments operations contact point in Peru:
Act as the primary contact for payments operations in Peru, collaborating with various departments.
Requirements:
1. 1. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional certification in finance or treasury management is preferred.
2. Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury and payments operations or treasury functions.
Previous experience managing a team is an advantage.
3. Skills:
Proficiency in SAP and other relevant financial software.
Strong understanding of payment processes and treasury functions.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of internal controls and fiscal systems.
4. Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of payments operations activities and treasury management.
Familiarity with merchant, vendor, and intercompany payments.
Intermediate English (required)
Plus knowledge of TMS
Banking knowledge (SWIFT, SEPA, MT101, MT940, etc...)
