Senior Network Security Engineer
Position Description
CGI Global Infrastructure Solutions is looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will provide strategic, tactical, and operational network and security support of our large multi-tenant data center and network.
This role can be located anywhere in the U.S. however, the preferred location is Phoenix, AZ.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Work with other infrastructure, security, and business teams to create strategic and tactical plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to network issues, outages, and change requests
• Recommend and perform system maintenance on network and security hardware/software as required
• Gather requirements, design, build, implement, and support internal and client networks
• Respond quickly and effectively to network issues, outages, and change requests
• Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively address capacity, performance, and availability issues before service degradation occurs
• Create and implement automation to increase efficiency, deployment velocity and reduce errors
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for network support
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Minimum of 7 years' networking experience
• Demonstrated experience with Fortinet Web Application Firewalls
• Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet Next Generation firewalls
• Demonstrated expertise with Fortinet firewalls
• Demonstrated expertise of TCP/IP fundamentals, IP sub netting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network management
• Demonstrated expertise of point-to-point, VPN, and other WAN connectivity options
• Demonstrated expertise of switching, VLANs, VRF and related technologies
• Demonstrated expertise of Cisco switches and routers, including Nexus series switches, and ASR routers
• Demonstrated experience with Network Access Control systems such as Cisco ISE and ForeScout CounterACT
• Demonstrated Delivery of operational process automations using any technology (e.g. Ansible, RunDeck, Chef, Puppet, Python, etc..)
• Must be a self starter and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all required CGI background checks
• Must be US Citizen
• Candidates must be flexible to work overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• B.S. degree in computer science or similar preferred
• CISSP Certification preferred
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP certification preferred
• Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls preferred
• Experience with F5 load balancers preferred
• Experience with Dell networks preferred
• Experience with Arista networks preferred
• Experience with Automation preferred

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 - $202,700."
