Employees in this role are critical to the active management of the current and future contracts that Optum Infusion Services is in business with. Active management of these contracts entails reviewing rates that Optum Infusion is currently getting and looking opportunity to negotiate more profitable rates. Pricing is critical to every aspect of our business and will require attention to detail, advanced financial modeling skills and the willingness to push forward in an ambiguous environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Review and assess payer reimbursement rates for profitability Create financial models to identify unprofitable contracts with rate recommendations for the contract negotiation team to utilize in payer negotiations Support contract negotiation team in the negotiation process by providing ad hoc analytics and reviewing counter offers Extremely comfortable working in an ambiguous environment; pharmaceutical contracts are extremely complex and will require a substantial amount of effort to understand Comfortable working in an environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines High visibility throughout the company and will work with senior leaders from multiple parts of the business

Experience conducting financial modeling and analysis Experience presenting analytical work to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare or pharmaceutical experience Infusion and specialty drug pricing experience Experience in reviewing pharmaceutical contracts Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, manipulate data, etc.) Intermediate Level Proficiency with SQL (pull, sort, filter and manipulate data, etc.) Ability to prioritize, coordinate and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment Achievement driven and accountable with a passion for quality

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
