JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION: High school diploma is required. Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience with service provider level networking with a four-year degree, or at least eight plus years' experience without a four-year degree.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Proficient with ISIS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, and MPLS network protocols
Experience with L3VPN, VPLS, EVPN, and multicast MPLS applications
Experience with SNMP
Proficient with MPLS traffic engineering and network capacity planning
Experience with DHCP server, DHCP relay, and DHCP clients for IPv4 and IPv6
Experience with managing DNS records
Proficient with Python or other similar programming languages
Basic knowledge of DWDM optical networking with amplification and optical switching
Juniper JNCIS-SP certification or higher preferred
Experience with Linux operating systems
Experience with metro ethernet standards
POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Network Engineers design, build, certify, and document networks. They have excellent communications skills and interact with equipment vendors, other service providers, key customer accounts, and various internal OzarksGo teams.
Senior Network Engineers are passionate about networking and strive to build high quality solutions, keep up with industry best practices, and pursue a continuous improvement work ethic. They are a subscriber advocate and design network solutions that focus on the subscriber.
MAJOR JOB TASKS:
Design, configure, and document new service provider, datacenter, and subscriber networks.
Build and present Proof of Concepts for new solutions.
Network capacity planning
Serve as an escalation contact for internal and external Engineers.
Develop network automation to improve consistency, stability, and efficiency.
Complete annual network related training and certifications
Working in a 24/7/365 environment to respond to major technical operational emergencies as part of a 6 person on-call rotation.

Frequent contacts with general Key Accounts or other outside representatives, wherein the manner of handling these contacts has a bearing on the organization's position and operation.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to operate all equipment normally found in an office environment. Must have valid driver's license without violation, which would prohibit insurability.
Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Normal office conditions, some irregular hours may be required. Some overnight travel may be required from time to time.
