Position Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, build, and 24x7 support of the Reyes Holdings global IP LAN/WAN IP infrastructures including routing, switching, wireless, network security and load balancing supporting 170+ global locations and 3 major contact centers. The candidate will develop, document, and implement best practices and standards. The candidate will provide technical leadership and work on multiple projects or issues of high complexity that require in depth knowledge of multiple technical areas.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Support and Maintenance:
Ensure timely resolution of all tickets
Participate in the current incident, problem, and change control processes
Enable and drive continuous improvement through the IT Service Center & Managed Service partners
Develop and oversee the adherence to maintenance and performance standards of data, wireless, voice or video network hardware and systems
Troubleshoot highly complex data video network and hardware problems
Perform capacity planning through the ongoing monitoring, alerting, and reporting of resource utilization levels and errors in the environment using a variety of tools and processes
Implement and maintain network security best practices by assessing current threats, vulnerabilities, risks and associated technical countermeasures
Maintain inventories for support and maintenance per location by working with our selected vendor
Build, maintain, and audit all LAN, WAN, and WLAN network related documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts, etc.
Execute work through others
Strategy & Planning:
Plan, design, and optimize high level LAN, WAN, and WLAN solutions
Develops strategies and direction for network solutions using current and emerging technologies
Develop strategies to create a highly scalable an resilient network environmentPerform network infrastructure readiness assessments
Perform analysis & trending of utilization and growth providing a proactive design based on the demands of the business
Translate business requirements into network and telephony process designs
Plans and recommends network hardware, systems management software and architecture.
Approve and modify design and architecture to ensure compliance
Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operations
Develops implementation plans for all LAN, WAN and external network connections - including organizing vendors and users, network drawings and scheduling
Provide knowledge transfer and detailed design/operational documentation to clients
Participate in the development of the enterprise unified communications strategy
Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
High School diploma (or equivalent) required and at least 8 years of experience with network planning, designing, building, and supporting mission critical LAN,WAN, network security, and Wireless network infrastructures
5-7 years of hands on experience with the following technical areas:
Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP,IGRP,EIGRP,PBR
Layer 2 network concepts including spanning tree, VPC, VXLan and VLAN design (example: Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches).
Wireless (WiFi) 802.11 a/b/g/n technologies
Network security/VPN/SSL technologies, such as Cisco, Palo Alto.
Cisco Nexus platforms – 2k, 5K, 7K and 9K
F5 Load Balancing – LTM and GTM
3-5 years of experience with medium to large enterprise organizations with multiple remote locations
3-5 years of experience working with all application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support the most efficient and stable networking capabilities
2-4 years of experience with 24 X 7 support leadership in conjunction with a managed service provider maintaining accountability and measurement of uptime and performance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical leadership and coaching of network technical staff
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Certifications: CCNP, CCVP, or CCIE, Palo Alto, F5
Trill/Fabric Path technologies
Cisco ACI and VXLan and IWAN networking
Solid knowledge of voice protocols such as SIP, H323, MGCP, SCCP
Current knowledge/understanding of SRST, MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC, and WAN
