Leidos is seeking a Senior NetOps Specialist Lead to support efforts for NGEN-R; the successful candidate will be responsible for performing enterprise network operations and engineering support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the Navy's NMCI network on the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program. NGEN-R is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport.
Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
This candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the infrastructure and network. This includes responding appropriately to alerts and events and responding to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, when appropriate.Conduct infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.Provide data center support where appropriate.Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.Provide incident notification to Government representatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop solutions connecting Microsoft Azure clouds with on-premise services in collaboration with application teamsDefine, develop, and maintain target architectures for Azure cloud-based solutions, as well as Design and Deployment documentsTroubleshoot and monitor Azure cloud-based systems implementations for availability, performance, reliability, security, etcOversee incident resolution, ensuring appropriate response to escalationsCoordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service deliveryReview root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issuesWork with Cyber Security analysts to ensure Enterprise information flow is secureMonitor to ensure all operating systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and proceduresReceive and analyze network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts. Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution.Assists with the development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levelsDevelop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the Network Operations CenterParticipate in strategic network and operations planningWork within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologiesPrepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensicsAssist the Cyber Team; employ approved defense-in-depth principles and practices (e.g., defense-in-multiple places, layered defenses, and security robustness).Assist with the collection of intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, and trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential computer network defense (CND) incidents within the enterprise.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, EE, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; with 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.Must possess the AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and Exam AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator certifications.Additional years of related work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.US Citizen and DoD Secret ClearanceDoD 8570.01-M: Information Assurance Manager (IAT) II; Must possess CompTIA Security + CEHands-on Experience in working with DoD networks, including NIPR, SIPR and PPSNWork within the DevSecOps framework with the engineering and security teams to test new network designPlans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the networkAdvise network users of hardware requirements, configurations and limitationsMaintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the networkExceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, including long-form business writing on complex topicsAbility to support work efforts outside of the standard work scheduleWork location can be in any of the following: Norfolk VA, Jacksonville FL, Bremerton WA, or Pearl Harbor HI.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
