Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Materials Parts Process (MPP) Engineer to support our dynamic team in Hazelwood, MO !
Position Responsibilities:
Resolves complicated issues regarding requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of products.
Develops and presents the Company position at technical committees to develop and revise industry standards.
Develops Company strategies for standardization.
Leads evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
Establishes standards to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
Leads integration of new technologies. Establishes standards to qualify suppliers.
Develops failure analysis processes to meet unique requirements.
Coordinates broadly based corrective and preventive actions.
Develops new strategies and processes for data acquisition and analysis.
Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical and schedule requirements.
Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas. Leads the organization to provide technical vision, strategy and goals.
Establishes influence across business units and functions, supply chain and global business.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field
5+ years of experience working in a design engineering, industrial engineering or manufacturing role
5+ years of experience with project management and self- managing projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
3+ years of experience working with composites and/or composite manufacturing
Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary Pay Range: USD $116,450 - $157,550
