About the Opportunity
Ellucian is looking for a Senior Microsoft SysAdmin (cloud, on-prem and virtualized environments) contributor for planning, coordinating and implementing projects & ongoing operation activities as well as analyzing and troubleshooting Microsoft products (environments and related software, tools, appliances and applications) and resources virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMWare.

Planning, assignment and administering of active assignments among the team members and self.Leading and coordinating of customer and team meetingsKeeping track and following up on active items for team members and selfLearning, understanding and implementing new technologies if required (often out of the Microsoft scope)Willingness to help customers and team members to resolve issues, queries and concerns even if that involves seeking help outside of the team i.e. vendors, other customers, external documentation and other areas within the company.Management of virtual environments hosted either in Hyper-V or VMWareManagement of Active Directory environments (setup, decommission, troubleshooting, best practices, security hardening, etc.)Understanding, implementing and troubleshooting Hybrid identities and environmentsUnderstanding, implementing and troubleshooting Azure or other multifactor authentication productDeployment, configuration, troubleshooting, security hardening, migration, update, upgrade and capacity planning of Windows Servers (2008 and above)Best practices assessments and remediation plan/implementation for Windows Servers and other Microsoft productsDisaster recovery planning and testing for Windows Server, Exchange Server and Active DirectoryUnderstanding, implementing, configuring and troubleshooting Exchange Server and Exchange Online services and recipients.Endpoints management through MECM (windows updates, applications, software packages, scripts, reports, antivirus)Azure and ADFS Single Sign-On implementation, troubleshooting and migration.VMWare environments and virtual resources design, deployment, configuration and troubleshooting.Proactively search for processes and/or environments enhancements to benefit projects and ongoing operation.Train and mentor junior system admins or L1 personnel as required.Identify and if possible, automate processes through scripts, tools, etc.Work based on objectives.Enroll in the on-call process (24/7 production support).Performing other duties as assigned.List of main products and technologies we support (not limited to this list):Active Directory (Directory Services, Certificate Services, DNS, DHCP, GPOs)Azure AD ConnectActive Directory Federation Services (ADFS)Messaging and Collaboration products either on-premises or cloud-based such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and the rest of Azure and Office 365 Suite services.Windows Servers either virtualized or physical.Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).Tools, Apps and Software that integrates with the environments we support.VMWare
What you will bring
Technical skills - Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience setting up, configuring, supporting, updating, upgrading and troubleshooting three or more of the following products/services:Active Directory (Domain Services, Certificate Services, Federation Services, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP)Azure Active DirectoryAzure AD ConnectHybrid identities and environmentsExchange Server and/or Exchange OnlineWindows Server 2008 and aboveWindows 10 and aboveMicrosoft Endpoint Configuration Manager MECM (updates and applications deployment mainly)Crowdstrike, Envision, Symantec or other antimalware/antivirus software.Azure and Office 365 services and suitePowerShell (preferred) and/or other programming languageWorking knowledge of Diagnostics tools: Performance and Analysis of Logs, Wireshark, etc.General networking knowledge and/or experience for identifying and potentially help troubleshooting related issues.VMWare and/or Hyper-V (servers deployment and configuration, networking, storage, assessment and best practices)
