Monitor and track database licenses and associated costs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as IT, Finance, and Procurement) to optimize database licensing and minimize costs. Perform regular reviews and audits of existing databases and licenses to identify potential savings opportunities. Analyze database usage patterns, identify licensing gaps, and make recommendations to improve resource allocation. Develop and maintain a system for tracking database licensing costs, expenses, and forecasts. Provide support and guidance to teams regarding database licensing and associated costs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, including reporting and audits
RequirementBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP) is a plus.Proven experience (3 -9 years working in database compliance, security, or related roles, preferably in a high-security environment.Hands-on experience with security tools, technologies, and practices such as network/firewall configuration, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption, password policies, and log analysis.Familiarity with relevant compliance regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and their impact on database security and privacy.Understanding of one of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Greenplum or DB2 and related technologies. Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Marklogic, MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra and Redis) is a plus. Expertise in implementing and managing database infrastructure in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
