We are seeking a Senior Maximo EHS Solution Designer (Architect) for an engagement.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for analysis and design of functional and technical solutions for proposed and existing IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) projects. Ensures that IT solutions meet current and proposed architecture standards. Develops conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cross-functional design solutions and determines the application and technology requirements. Determines the non-functional requirements of the solution, including availability and scalability. Assists with all phases of an IT project including design, build, test and implementation.
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Requires extensive knowledge of systems development methodologies and systems integration methodologies. On-site presence may be required during the duration of the assignment.
•Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or similar type of curriculum
•15 years of business and hands on technical experience as a Maximo solution designer building solutions through Maximo configurations and Customizations on latest versions.
•Must have experience successfully rolling out EHS projects in IBM Maximo.
•Energy and Utility domain experience.
•Thorough understanding of Maximo features and functions. Certification is a plus but working knowledge of the system is more important.
•Must have experience working in Maximo Work Management, Asset Management, PM, Contract, Purchasing and Inventory Management modules.
•Extensive knowledge of Maximo integration framework, business application technical design and MAS 8.x Devops implementation.
•Extensive knowledge of integrating legacy / COTS systems with IBM Maximo.
•General knowledge of IT Application, Security, and Infrastructure architecture and design
•The individual must be comfortable working across business and IT product center domains and can demonstrate the ability to easily shift between technical analysis and business value discussions.
•Requires knowledge of systems development methodologies and systems integration methodologies.
•Good communications skills both verbal and written
•Good listening skills
•Ability to identify the “real” issue or problem
Additional job functions expected:
•Work with the Program team to complete Maximo Integration Architecture, Functional and Technical Requirement documents for services being designed and developed as part of this solution.
•Collaborate with data architects and other portfolio/program architects across the organization to ensure the proposed solution aligns closely with the portfolio/enterprise level architecture
•Be an IT liaison between various vendors and business staff for the project.
•Manage IT tasks that are being completed on a timely basis per project timeline. This may include tasks such as configuration of environments, attending Change Control management meetings, developing implementation plans, etc.
