The Amazon Ads Marketing Team in Japan is looking for a senior level Marketing Manager to lead and support local and global cross-functional marketing programs to engage and activate advertisers in Japan. To achieve long term success of the advertising business, the role defines the program strategy and initiatives in Japan, as well as influencing global teams to deliver. The role defines programs by developing a deep understanding of advertiser objectives, sets objectives, analyze data, drive quantifiable improvements, and improve the customer experience.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for data and analytics, and leveraging this to develop innovative programs and strategies with large organizational goals. Successful candidates relentlessly focus on the Customer, build trust and collaborate with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders, successfully navigate through ambiguity, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and is comfortable handling multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing properly. Also required are strong leadership and communication skills, willingness to work autonomously, project management experience, creativity, strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Key job responsibilities
Own strategy and execution of programs to increase adoption of Amazon’s self-service advertising solutions.
Developing a deep understand of advertising products and advertisers to identify unique insights and opportunities
Analyze business problems and identify and execute solutions
Analyze the results of initiatives impacting the program, and share results with senior leaders and stakeholders
Work cross-functionally with key global stakeholders and business leadership
Write insightful, actionable, and data/customer centric business review and strategic documents to influence senior leaders

Basic Qualifications
Fluency in Japanese and English
Ability to write compelling English business documents and to verbally communicate with senior executives
6+ years relevant work experience in advertising, ecommerce, and/or management consulting
Experience in program management and owning program strategy
Experience managing complex projects across multiple teams
Experience implementing repeatable, or scalable automated processes
Quantitative analytical skills, and using data and metrics to drive improvements
Preferred Qualifications
An MBA is preferred.
Knowledge of SQL
Ability to build financial models
Ability to identify and provide solutions for complex business opportunities and problems
Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders globally and deliver cross functional projects
