American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and support that helps companies of all sizes gain financial savings, control and efficiency. We provide a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. The GCS Marketing team is responsible for creating an end-to-end global marketing strategy and distribution plan for our prospect & customer segments around the world. Within the GCS Marketing organization, the Global Experiential Marketing team is responsible for driving B2B in-person and virtual experiences covering tradeshows/conferences, tailored proprietary experiences, client entertainment, virtual forums, go-to-market initiatives and more; all designed to deepen relationships with customers and prospects across the globe.
Reporting to the VP, Global Experiential Marketing, the Sr. Manager of US Proprietary Events will play a key role in the designing and delivery of US flagship B2B proprietary experiences which include but are not limited to; C-Level engagement strategies, marquee customer events, product-driven experiences (e.g. product launches/refreshes, etc.), and support broader go-to-market initiatives. They will help shape the strategy, lead the creative development, be responsible for activation plans all the way through execution working in conjunction with key internal and external partners to deliver on business objectives.
The ideal candidate would have experience leading a wide range of high-profile initiatives while collaborating efficiently with key partners across multiple teams and has passion for this space!
Key Responsibilities:
Drive E2E planning, strategic development, and execution of B2B proprietary experiences outlined above.
Be responsible for the creative development process which could include coming up with creative concepts, handling the reviews/approval creative processes, leading production timelines while ensuring brand standards are being met.
Establish metric plans, and be responsible for reporting/tracking, gathering insights and evaluating initiatives and apply findings to future programs/recommendations.
Own key processes and tracking (e.g. budget management, monthly performance metrics, etc.)
Assist in building and delivering comprehensive presentations to senior leadership and partners
Build strong working relationships across the team, as well as with business partner groups to ensure good collaboration, efficient problem solving and creative solutioning for delivering on results. Cross-functional teams could include marketing, sales, PR, product, compliance, and executive Offices.
As a people leader, coach, support and develop an Analyst on team.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of marketing, customer facing, and event management experience
Strong professional presence and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate, influence, and be a standout colleague
Highly motivated with the proven ability to react and adapt in real time to balance multiple priorities while remaining flexible and calm
Exceptional project management skills and great attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with the highest levels of integrity
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications:
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise judgment and prioritization
Adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Consistent track record of getting results while working autonomously
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
