The Senior Manager of Asset Management Lifecycle Risk will use a unique combination of technical breadth and depth and analytic curiosity to provide oversight of the firm’s technical risks. You will report to the Director of Asset Management Lifecycle Risk (AMLR) and build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners and provide risk-related consulting towards delivery of evidence-based risk management activities. This role will assure that solution design-related risks are effectively managed, client and firm assets are protected, and client trust is maintained. Success in this role requires the ability to be collaborative among internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions, through relationships, influence, and credibility pulling from your expertise in Information technology, cybersecurity, and resilience risk and control best practices.
In this role you will:
Develop risk-based approach that effectively delivers upon our risk management objectives and adds value to internal partners, while minimizing business impact
Apply a broad range of knowledge and skills on ongoing activities, including core Technology Risk Management organizational and risk discipline-specific activities, assuring effective risk governance, management, and oversight of risks within AMLR’s scope
Oversee first line of defense technical debt management practices and endpoint protection design/security capabilities
Perform proactive management of findings by working with appropriate teams to develop remediation action plans, track progress, and facilitate risk treatment actions (exception or risk acceptance)
Review, oversee, and credibly challenge (as applicable) the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) risk, controls, and results for areas within the scope of risk discipline
Additional projects and tasks may be included based on business needs and the regulatory environment
What you have
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or previous applicable experience
5+ years in Information Technology, Information Security, and/or Risk Management disciplines
Familiarity with IT and cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., COBIT, ITIL/ITSM, NIST, ISO, etc.)
Knowledge of the technology stack including applications, hosting, infrastructure, and endpoint devices; hands-on operational experience a plus
Experience with technology risk assessment/analysis and developing, contributing to, and managing application hosting specifications, data center design architectures, data flow diagrams, and threat models
Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies and best practices and software development practices and technologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD)
Preferred qualifications
Experience in understanding business needs, gathering requirements, documenting, and assessing information for implementing information security controls is required
Attention to detail and focus on quality work delivery
Solid analytical and technical skills, able to research problems, diving deeply when necessary, to determine root causes and solutions
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Requires time management skills and ability to appropriately prioritize multiple, competing demands.
Solid interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
Familiarity of applicable regulatory requirements and laws such as GDPR, PCI, FFIEC, GLBA, SOX, etc., and/or certifications, such as CISSP, CCNA, CISM, CISA, or CRISC, preferred but not required
