Job Description Own the localisation and execution of CEE cluster’s SMB strategy and GTM, partnering with key stakeholders including Head of BD, MS&A, and VCS HUB teams
Lead SMB sales activities with existing clients, supporting AEs, including:
Identifying new sales opportunities to ‘grow’ Visa’s SMB solutions
Designing new client propositions or enhancements to existing propositions, including bringing together a ‘One Visa’ solution for SMBs e.g Tink, Currencycloud
Cross-sell/ up-sell Visa SMB solutions incl. value added services relevant to SMB segment
Work with client AEs and VCA to drive growth of SMB card portfolios for existing clients, covering client performance, activation, optimisation and migration
Develop SMB component of key client account plans and Visa strategic planning sessions
Support BDs on new SMB client opportunities, including:
Reviewing client propositions/ proposals prepared by cluster BDs
Acting as an SMB subject matter expert in new client meetings
Identifying SMB whitespace, sales acceleration opportunities and maintaining an up-to-date view of SMB pipeline shape
Develop strategies and sales plans for Visa’s SMB untapped program and identify SMB opportunities in new prioritized industry verticals
Contribute to the overarching European SMB solution roadmap by continuously reviewing market intelligence client feedback and competitive landscapes
Ensure market and client readiness / fit when new Visa solutions are launched, and support the localisation of sales collateral and GTM
Be part of the CEE cluster SMB ecosystem, identifying key potential clients, enablers, influencers and partnership opportunities
Partner with Visa marketing and consulting teams to develop and deliver internal and external education and marketing campaigns to build Visa’s SMB brand
Identify and sign contracts for cluster specific premium offers and partnerships, in collaboration with VCS Partnerships team and VCS SMB HUB team
Contribute to cluster planning processes including VIK, IMD, MSO and AOP to ensure SMB initiatives and priorities are top of mind and funded
Take accountability for delivery of assigned initiatives, sales revenue and performance indicators
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Extensive client-facing sales/business development experience, preferably within SMB issuing/ commercial payments environment. Experience of merchant and acquiring viewed favourabilityDemonstrated success using consultative sales approach to achieve sales targets and drive deals, and trouble shoot and problem solve to achieve win-win outcomesThe successful applicant will have extensive experience in SMB proposition development, sales or other client-facing rolesDeep knowledge of SMB/SME payments and global payment systems, preferably gained through working for a bank, Fintech or payments player Strong understanding of the issues and challenges for small businesses, with an appreciation of European markets and focus on CEE that you can leverage effectivelyStrong commercial acumen with the desire to own and drive sales successStrong relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external peers and more senior stakeholdersComfort working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through changeA strong degree of self-direction and accountability with focus on deliveryHigh orientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional workingFluency in local language (Polish, Romanian or Czech) and English with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
