The Network and Connectivity Engineering (NCE) Team within CAS Engineering has the responsibility Air Traffic Control and Airline operational data on a secure, high-availability communication system between aircraft and their airline hosts systems and Civil Aviation Authorities. This worldwide communication system consists of diverse technologies including RF, private WAN networking, Network Management, Data Analytics, Embedded Communication Protocols, Mobility management algorithms, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions.We're looking for a Security, Networks, and Partner Systems (SNAP) Manager to support our aviation communication development needs. The Manager will lead the GLOBALink management and server infrastructure systems for the GLOBALink system. The GLOBALink system is a high availability (99.999%) communication system that provides operational and air traffic communications to the commercial airlines and civil aviation authorities across the globe.The SNAP group will be responsible for the following portions of the GLOBALink system: overall architecture security and security programs, partner facing networks, and partner systems interfaces and delivery. YOU will play a pivotal role in this high growth and high visibility area of the Collins Aerospace company.What YOU will do:

  You will develop a high performing staff that maintains and upgrades the management systems and networks for the GLOBALink system while maintaining 99.999% availability.You will develop team members through mentoring, coaching, and progressive technical and leadership assignments.You will execute the networking and security modernization programs.You will develop a team that meets the requirements of the RTX Security policies and contractual requirements of our Civil Aviation Authority customers.You will effectively roll out of changing Engineering practices in alignment with Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors.You will execute the portion of the annual Engineering Operating Plan (EOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP) assigned to the team by the product leaders with predictable project performance.What YOU will learn:

  YOU will learn how to design solutions and lead innovative software systems that will drive the next generation of growth for the aviation industry.You will learn to develop solutions with cross discipline engineering teamsYou will learn to represent Collins Aerospace in industry forums Implementing architectural changes and customer-driven enhancements to complex systems. Complex systems typically involved multiple servers, interfaces, networks, and databases. Experience with full life-cycle - development, test, implementation, and long-term support.Education & Experience:

  Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experienceQualifications you must have:

  Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.Proven experience with software development and server security engineeringDemonstrated understanding of networks, communication systems, high availability systems.Demonstrated knowledge of security practices and architecture.Proven experience working with external partners on jointly delivered solutions.Skills we value:

  This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience.
