As the Senior Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy for Walmart Business, you will be critical in shaping the sales strategy for Walmart Business. You will analyze market opportunities, developing a quantified view at the account level and maintaining a robust database. You will oversee the pipeline management and forecasting processes. You will also define sales motions, roles, rules of engagement, coverage, and capacity, enabling the Sales team to meet their goals and targets for the year. This role is embedded in the Revenue Operations group, reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations.
What You'll Do:
Work closely with the Sales Group Director and Sales Directors (Commercial, Nonprofit, Public Sector) to define segment strategies (e.g., accounts, markets, geographic areas, etc. to prioritize, appropriate goals / metrics)
Work closely with the Sales Group Director and Sales Directors, as well as Finance, to drive pipeline management and forecasting
Partner with the Senior Manager, Revenue Operations Scaled Services, Enablement and Support to inform the design of GTM plays and supporting bill of materials
Market Opportunity and Prospect Database
Maintaining a robust customer and prospect database that serves as a unified "golden record," with strong estimates of potential opportunity (e.g., includes greenfield and whitespace estimates, dynamically enriched with third-party data)
Identify, quantify, and prioritize key markets, segments, and customers, updated regularly as an evergreen view
Support segmentation efforts of new and existing accounts
GTM Strategy and Design
Define route-to-market architecture (channels used, products sold through each channel), setting clear economic boundaries / thresholds and regularly evaluating analytics
Lead annual "zero base" process for aligning sales coverage and capacity within the market opportunity, reviewing customer tiers and sales roles required to sell / serve customers
Pipeline Insights and Metrics
Design and manage pipeline review process with a well-defined forecast rhythm, clearly defined roles, a consistent approach to forecast calls, and established metrics (e.g., pipeline size, velocity, top deals, high-priority prospects, etc.)
Operationalize clear, simple definition of sales pipeline stages, with alignment between Sales and Marketing
Implement advanced forecasting tools and methodologies, continuously refining the forecasting process to improve accuracy
Assist in proactive audits and accurate reporting of revenue and deal flow
GTM Plays
Support tracking of plays and ongoing refinements

Minimum qualifications:
Education and experience
BA/BS Degree
5+ years experience in B2B and/or Enterprise sales enablement
8+ years total professional experience
Demonstrated track record of designing effective sales strategies with strong financial performance
Skills
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, including conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations
Heavily results-oriented; strong track record in developing strategy and financial realization
Ability to work cross-functionally with peers and senior members of the Sales team
Industry knowledge
Familiarity with B2B retail and procurement
Understanding of the competitive landscape and key players in B2B retail
Adaptability
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
