As the Senior Manager, Incoming Compensation Programs, you will be responsible for leading Atlassian's Compensation Delivery function for all incoming compensation programs. This includes management of compensation strategy for Talent Acquisition, and the exquisite delivery of all external offers and hiring practices. In addition, this role has oversight responsibilities for Atlassian's external compensation technology strategy and partnership with our People Technology and People Operations teams. This role will report into the Head of Compensation and liaise with a cross-functional team of global compensation team members and People Team centers of excellence.
Success in this position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. You will be able to break down complex challenges to identify and effectively sequence solutions. Success in this role also means the ability to consider forward-thinking system design and tools to support our constantly evolving organization.

You understand how to effectively partner with other People Teams. You take feedback seriously and collect it often to continually improve and enhance our programs. Combining data and feedback from Atlassians with the latest industry research, you will make large-scale, data-driven decisions that will have a huge impact. You are a system optimizer who thinks creatively to develop novel solutions to existing problems and is excited to experiment with new ideas.

Lead other Compensation professionalsLead and ensure effective management of all new-hire compensation processesBe responsible for project management of new-hire compensation programs, policies and processesAct as internal authority regarding new-hire compensation strategy, programs and processes for the companyCollaborate with People Technology resources on tool & systems strategy, improvements and enhancementsIdentify processes, programs or capabilities that will benefit from automation or re-engineeringMaintain a pulse on global compensation technical solutions and introduce solutions to improve Atlassian new-hire compensation programs where neededEnsure appropriate governance and adherence to Atlassian's compensation philosophy, policies and global labor law requirements.Assist in the development and dissemination of effective communication materials that improve the understanding and value of new-hire compensation programs
Your background
Bachelor's Degree and at least 6-8 years of relevant experience in compensation or consultingExperience leading company-wide projects and influencing changeExcellent analytical capabilities, experience with big data and interfacing between HRIS applications, solid financial and compensation modeling skills and ability to communicate persuasively with business partners to resolve highly complex problems.Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design and recommend market competitive programs aligned to business strategy.Work comfortably with high-level individual contributors and leaders across multiple functions. Track record of influencing at the senior leadership level.Ability to articulate and distill complex issuesAbility to manage change effectively, always mindful of technology and business process implications.Advanced excel skills (requirement)
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $178,200 - $237,600
Zone B: $160,400 - $213,900
Zone C: $148,000 - $197,300
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
