About Senior Manager, Human Resources – Singapore Area Office

  The Senior Manager, Human Resources – Singapore Area Office is responsible for creating and supporting the most hospitable workforce in the world by ensuring leaders drive high levels of team member engagement through implementing effective human experiences throughout the Team Member lifecycle. You will be the key business partner to the leadership team providing support and guidance on delivering Human Experiences during Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Compliance & Administration of Human Resources operational activities. You will have the opportunity to embed Global HR initiatives that support Hilton’s values, vision, and culture into local work processes.

  What will I be doing?

  As the Senior Manager, Human Resources – Singapore Area Office (SAO), you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  Team Member Experience

  Manage Team Member touch points with a can-do positive attitude. Create a process improvement culture that calls for regular review of systems and ways of working seeking automation with a human touch for efficiency as often as possible.

  Team Member Onboarding

  Proactively review and propose changes to the TM experience partnering with hiring managers to ensure that our on-boarding process seamlessly transitions from recruitment excitement to highly engaged Team Member.15 Ensure that we relentlessly question, and challenge established manual processes for automation or removal based on the merits of what is required to manage the business whilst remaining legally compliant. Build regular touch points for leaders, managers, and peers to connect, collaborate, and share early success.

  Team Member Engagement & Life Experience Management

  Create a framework that has inbuilt moments to take time out for TM engagement and discussions on meaningful metrics and data such as GTMS to continue to evolve the Team Member experience and the way we work. Create an automated framework to ensure all Life Experience Moments (Service anniversaries, Birthdays, Births, Marriages, Seasonal Festivities, Relocations, Deaths, Celebrations, etc.) are recognized and celebrated and have touch points for leaders to engage with Team Members in a meaningful way and Team Members to share experiences.

  Team Member Communications

  Prepare thoughtful, fun, and engaging communication pieces to encourage Team Members to participate in and enjoy key events while ensuring leaders are equipped with a one-page guide well in advance outlining key features and touch points to proactively engage with Team Members and drive participation. Keep the team safe and updated by proactively keeping ahead of government, regulatory, and health advice ensuring our processes are created and managed per compliance requirements but are practical and operationally relevant. Ensure that key communications call out traditions we want to continue recognizing where we have been but ensuring we stay relevant and on-trend. Liaise with corporate communications on matters related to regional offices, such as Team Member Appreciation Week, and Global Team Member Survey (GTMS) ensuring related matters, are communicated using the right medium to make an impact such as social media, Electronic Bulletin Board, email, etc.

  Human Resources Business Partnering

  Proactively engage with managers and leaders to problem-solve people's business challenges and provide Human Resources outcomes that support business success by drawing upon market intelligence and internal data. Actively engage with functional leaders, HRCs and Regional HR leads on structure setups and new business frameworks. Act as a subject matter expert for all things HR and as a connector to the right person in the Hilton team to provide the support needed. Provides HR consulting advice to SAO managers on all HR-related matters and collaborates with the COEs to provide HR solutions. This includes collaborating with Recruitment to provide consulting advice on new joiners, developing offer packages for local and non-cross border hires, and developing promotion increases for non-VP and non-cross border TMs in consultation with the C&B team as needed.

  Human Resources Data Analytics & Story Telling

  Build HR credibility and capability by assembling and evaluating quality market intelligence against internal data to identify opportunities. For improvement. Manage and create HR dashboards containing relevant automated data for easy analysis and comparison. Identify trends in data that indicate possible problem-solving or celebration opportunities that provide a basis for storytelling.

  Human Resources Operations & Legal Compliance

  Support leaders and people managers to manage people issues across functions as necessary, building a catalogue of easily replicable and usable case studies and best practice guides for re-use. Manage external HR vendors to ensure the quality of their service delivery through effective monitoring and communication. Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and Hilton Worldwide policy requirements. Contribute to the development and maintenance of country-specific employment contracts, procedures, and guidelines that meet corporate standards and are compatible with local laws, practices, and requirements and create a congruent feel that mirrors Hilton’s culture and intent. Build meaningful relationships with government departments ensuring that we work within the guidelines not only by outcome but with the government and Hilton intent as the outcome. Ensure that effective team member records are maintained within legal requirements making data collection and extraction a seamless process.

  Human Resources Administration

  Ensure that Team Member benefits and welfare programs are utilized by Team members by ensuring that they are set up and administered to the right TM groups clear guidelines are adhered to across APAC and utilization for TMs does not deviate from policies. Work with and manage vendor exception reviews and approvals with the appropriate stakeholders. Partner with the Finance team to manage payroll payments within company policies and procedures. Work with the expat mobility team in ensuring the expat General Managers’ (GMs) benefits are enrolled accordingly and provide transfer information in transfer cases.
