About the Team:
The People Connect team centralizes all our People Operations globally. This team is critical to an excellent employee and manager experience. The People Connect team is a strategic enablement partner that serves as the foundation to the People function at Dow Jones, setting high standards, establishing processes and applying best practices. We drive self-service and resolution to HR related queries and own the employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
About the Role:
As the leader of our newly established HR Associate team, you will report directly to the VP of People Strategy and Enablement and be based in our New York City office. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter who is dedicated to enhancing the employee experience within our organization. Your role will center around cultivating a team that is adept at delivering exceptional HR customer service to employees company-wide. As a leader you know how to mentor, coach and inspire your team, breaking down silos and walls to help them succeed. You will grow your team to live our values of Collaboration, Trust, Impact and Excellence through their work. Collaborating closely with the People team, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for and supporting employee experience through clear communication, well-defined policies, and best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for you to shape and implement processes and procedures that directly contribute to the day-to-day efficiency and overall growth initiatives of our business.
You Will:
Lead and manage the global People Associate team. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and coaching the team to deliver excellent service to employees and managers. You will be responsible for building a performance culture in the team and do this through setting clear goals and expectations and delivering timely feedback.
Oversee day-to-day service delivery within the People team, including but not limited to, employee onboarding, off boarding, payroll-related queries and transactions in WorkDay.
Provide leadership to the People Operations (People Connect) team in the steady state; and lead the new People Service Delivery model implementation, establish a culture of continuous improvement and collaborate with cross-functional partners to acquire feedback and post-implementation support
Be responsible for efficiency measurement of SLAs and improvement of employee and manager experience
Identify and work towards future services roadmap and implementation strategy
Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
Develop talent culture with accountability KPIs that strives for quality, continuous improvement, and productivity
Set high standards, establish processes and apply best practice to deliver an excellent employee experience
Provide guidance and support for complex HR enquiries, issues and escalations identifying the right partner to loop in with sensitivity
Daily tracking and analysis of performance KPIs, standards, as well as implementing actionable insights and recommendations Prepare and present comprehensive HR reports to leadership and can analyze data to make thoughtful, innovative recommendations.
Establish internal working relationships and support People team members and COEs (i.e. Benefits team, Payroll team)
Support the Company with a customer-oriented mindset and ways of working in the People Connect function by living Dow Jones values
You Have:
10 years of experience. Including experiences in HR Operations and Management.
Demonstrated experience in a systems/process Human Resource role a plus
Shared Services (HR or other) implementation experience is preferred
Experience supporting employees base across multiple countries and experience leading remote teams is required
Experience in a fast-paced large complex organizationsPrevious experience of utilizing an integrated Human Resources Information System a plus
Union related experience a plus
Experience managing an HR Operations team
Excels in rapid-growth matrixed environment with proven ability to prioritize with overall end-goal targets and results
Excellent leadership skill-set with strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to interact within diverse business levels, including executive leadership
In-depth knowledge of HR processes, baseline employment related legislation, and industry best practices
Decision making - evaluating information to make sound decisions and to drive reliable long term and sustainable operations
Proven ability to assess, interpret and judge information or situations, and formulate recommendations or deliver a service, based on the findings
Technical Competencies:
Knowledge of a Human Resources Information system essential. Workday experience is preferred Experience of utilizing a case management/ticketing system (ServiceNow) is preferred
Oversee HR systems within remit (ServiceNow), ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with organizational needs
Identify opportunities for technology enhancements to streamline HR workflows
