Job Summary
NetApp IT supports a user community of ~ 20,000 users globally. The end user technology stack is our user community's gateway into almost all that they do at NetApp. Having these technologies and services operate in a way that is performant, reliable, secure and efficient, and intuitively navigable is paramount. We're user-community obsessed and we'll always be in a cycle of iterating our way toward higher levels of user satisfaction.
This will be, in part, a hands on role - we believe that excellent engineering leaders are also great engineers. A vision for the art-of-the-possible and the ability to manage the complexity of the portfolio is as important as a command of the technology. This role will have responsibility for the Mac, Windows, and mobile fleets, along with the AV and M365 stacks globally. There will be three direct reports that oversee desktop engineering, M365 engineering, and AV and telephony systems. Each of those managers will have responsibility for both direct reports and matrixed teams.

Supporting the user-kit loadout of a 10+K user community that is globally distributedMac and Windows fleet management at scaleDrive a culture of non-negotiable operational rigorIn partnership with Desktop Product management, discover and drive opportunities to evolve the desktop user experienceThe Jamf and Intune platformsRegulatory and standards-based audits (such as Sox, SOC I / SOC II, etc)Mobile device management best practices using the Intune ecosystemGlobal fleet patch management and complianceEvolve policies and configuration across our desktop operations as well as software, application packaging and distribution, OS, BIOS and driver updatesManagement via extensive automationThe Microsoft Office 365 ecosystemGlobal asset distribution logistics leveraging Autopilot and Apple BusinessGeneral M365 management and controlsMicrosoft 365 compliance features, capabilities, and their managementPowerShell and ideally one or more languages that can be leveraged for infrastructure automation and IaC, such as Python, Bash, Go, NodeMicrosoft Identity and Access Management servicesExcellent communication skills, including the ability tcommunicate technical information tnon-technical peersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive delivery of communication and follow-upExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraintsSelf-motivated and forward-thinking personality
Education
8+ years of Microsoft systems engineering experience4+ years managing Mac / Jamf4+ years of people management experienceExperience with 10k+ user environments across multiple regionsBachelor's Degree in CompSci or related area of study or equivalent professional experience
