About Senior Manager, Finance Operations Business Partnership, Grocery and North America Retail

Description

The Finance Operations Business Partnership (BP) team is seeking a Senior Manager who will be a key member of the Worldwide Retail BP team and lead our Grocery and North America Retail teams. This individual will be responsible for driving worldwide Retail procure-to-pay and order-to-cash performance. In this role, you will responsible for developing and maintaining operational and business metrics and targets, driving global operational reviews, as well as owning improvements to achieve targets. As a business partner, you will work daily alongside Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Service Centers, Retail, Retail Finance, Vendors, Tech teams and other operational groups at all levels in a global environment. Complex problem solving and financial analysis skills are required to manage multiple high visibility priorities in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities:

Work cross-organizationally and functionally to identify key opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces and develop and implement plans to capitalize on those opportunities. Measure and monitor success and impacts.

Identify and drive opportunities for improved cash flow, margin and productivity improvements related to vendor payments and receivables.

Collaborate and build effective partnerships with system and business owners globally to drive end-to-end improvements.

Communication effectively with business partners, including financial modeling and analysis, metrics and program updates.

Solve critical vendor, process and system escalations effectively to ensure root cause analysis and scalable problem resolution.

Drive improved customer experience while ensuring the highest degree of controllership and customer obsession.

Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities

Establish a regular cadence of engagement with Finance Operations Service Centers and businesses, ensuring process excellence with the highest degree of controllership.

Basic Qualifications

10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience

8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

5+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience

5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

MBA, or CPA

8+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
