Position Summary...
What you'll do...
This role will be a key member of Marketplace Payments and Financial services team, and responsible for strategizing our Working Capital program while optimizing program's overall features and pricing. The ideal candidate should have experience working with diverse set of financial products, strong understanding of business lending space, credit operations & strategies, as well as expertise in building new credit capabilities.
This role is highly strategic and will interact with multiple levels across a broad range of cross-functional teams and leaders across Walmart Marketplace.
What you'll do
Launch and grow Working Capital capabilities - Introduce new product lines (such as merchant cash advance and top-ups, lines of credit, business credit cards, inventory / supplier financing etc.) while advancing program's overall vision promoting sellers' growth.s
Develop, implement, and handle strategies that involve elements of payment fraud and risk mitigation, credit underwriting, collections, recovery, and pricing for working capital products while enhancing payment experience for Marketplace sellers.
Serve as an internal consultant for key business leaders in vetting strategic ideas by providing analytical, problem solving and strategic frameworks for existing and new financing capabilities.
Provide strategic and analytic support to product, marketing, and operations etc. and develop solutions to enhance seller experience, increase product awareness and optimize platform & tooling capabilities.
Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape, macro-economic environment, and emerging trends in financial services. Independently leverages market research and analysis and be able to make strong recommendations.
Identify key-metrics and develop data-driven strategies & analytical frameworks, build, and maintain business rules to support our OKR around payments business and operations.
Design A/B tests to help understand risk return tradeoffs using hypothesis testing frameworks.
Collaborate cross functionally with multiple stakeholders including Trust & Safety, product, engineering, data science, finance, legal and other partner performance teams supporting overall credit infrastructure and roadmap.
Qualifications
Master's degree with 5+ years or bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Math/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc. with 7+ years of experience preferably in payments strategy, credit risk, risk analytics or related field.
Strong understanding of strategic frameworks, problem-solving and analytical skills, including advanced modeling; comfortable working with ambiguity
Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets, high proficiency with Excel based data analyses.
Risk/payments experience, Marketplace, or e-commerce payments or Payment consulting experience a plus
Ability to collect, sanitize, analyze, and synthesize data; apply critical thinking & communications skills to make actionable recommendations; and drive those recommendations through to execution.
Ability to lead cross functional teams and prior experience working with Product and Technology teams
Clear, confident communicator who loves taking a complicated problem, decomposing it, and building a compelling business case.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
1 year's supervisory experience.
