About Senior Manager CPE SW Delivery

  As Senior Manager CPE SW Delivery you will provide leading and technical coordination expertise between one or multiple projects, technical project managers and software development teams, covering the activities during the design, implementation, test, and integration phases of the relevant initiatives. You'll be adept at delivering complex innovative projects, breaking down barriers for your team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen when needed.

  Defining project needs and feeding these into the programme/portfolio process will enable resource to be appropriately allocated. You will be core to decisions that build high performing teams, where people are excited about the work they are undertaking.

  This role is a key position in the Technology group that is responsible for the CPE integration of products & services requirements and therefore should ensure synergies in our overall delivery and operating model by working closely with peers within Entertainment and across the wider Technology & Innovation group. This role will perform activities across all customers and align individuals around the Customer Value Proposition.

  This role must also focus on achieving wider technology objectives around cost efficiency, quality and time to market.

  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate the development schedule for one or more software projects

  • Own delivery of project initiatives, developments, and releases.

  • Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently

  • Understand product requirements and the code as well as system integration dependencies involved in creating the software

  • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team

  • Facilitate project estimation and budget approvals

  • Monitors progress and results; gives feedback effectively and makes tough decisions when appropriate

  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality;

  • Ensure that products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/beta/production)

  • Plan and coordinate all release activities with different streams

  • Manage build-related information, release procedures, dependencies and notification lists

  • Work with the product definition and delivery team to define the product roadmap and translate this into development activities

  • Create a team environment where everyone wants to do their best and deliver results

  KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Software development lifecycle experience, experience in the technology industry (Set-Top Boxes, Video processing and delivery, Connectivity, Video Headend etc.);

  • A strong track record of managing complex, cross-team project plans;

  • prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals; Hands on experience with Agile methodologies and proven leadership skills to guide other technical project managers

  The ideal candidate shall be equally comfortable in digging into product requirements and product planning as well as drilling into technical architecture and design.
