West Monroe has an immediate opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our internal communications team. This individual will transition into a team leadership role over time as they create and execute internal communications strategies in collaboration with senior leadership (e.g., c-suite, directors) and internal partners. They will be responsible for creating and driving communications in support of the firm’s strategic goals and priorities, as well as driving employee engagement and influencing initiatives.
Specific key responsibilities include:
Overview of Role:
Create, manage, implement, and/or own communications strategy, plan development, and execution for internal initiatives, change communications, rollouts, mergers and acquisitions activity, and operational announcements Help provide timely and concise communication to employees around a variety of topics Oversee regular and ongoing operational communications Work with leaders across the company to design and execute innovative, attention-getting campaigns around internal initiatives and changes across a range of channels Over time, step into daily leadership, coordination, and strategy of a small but mighty internal communications team
Key Expectations:
Provide and support client-facing employees and Shared Services support staff on a range of ad-hoc issues and projects Support crisis communications, social issue communications, change communications, and executive communications, including Town Hall strategy and execution Regularly draft internal communications and ghost write for senior leaders Work with vendors to translate company’s strategy and vision into communications plans and internal campaigns Manage an annual budget and report on annual impact Expectations & Leadership:
Develop a deep understanding of our business and employee base, and the ability to target specific audiences with messages that spark them to action Be able to seamlessly navigate process and resource barriers and think creatively to achieve results Work collaboratively across functions and coordinate communications efforts across initiatives Continue to evolve and innovate new ways to push forward the internal communications function and how we communicate with employees Desired Skills
Undergraduate degree At least 10 years of experience in a corporate communications role, ideally in a professional services environment Strong project management skills, and the ability to execute programs with speed, accuracy, and efficiency Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills and a track record of working effectively and forming peer-level relationships with senior members of an organization Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment Ability to work with a variety of internal partners and manage time effectively Ability to work and manage various projects autonomously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead through nebulous situations Exceptional writing skills and, in particular, the ability to write in different styles to reflect the nature of the stakeholder, audience, and message Experience with current web practices, supporting technologies, new media Flexibility to travel nationally, 5-10% of the year (not a regular practice, but could be required in specific years) Not required but a plus: change management skills and experience supporting social issues communications

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
