Job Description
As a Senior Manager, Consulting Services you will lead, direct, and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate/short-term and long-term results for the team and department. You will establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and department objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress. For example: Closely tracking team billable utilization and team members’ survey scores. You will also monitor progress of team members’ onboarding and understand and explain policies, practices, and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside the team. In scope will be to review direct reports’ expense reports and ensure they are in compliance with the Travel and Expense Policy as well as monitor overtime and timesheet submissions. Review and approve direct reports’ timesheets and provide approval for PTO/Sick time. This role will allow you to manage escalations and work with the appropriate parties to determine next steps and resolution. You will identify, propose, and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department-level as well as deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage and promote associate success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities. As part of this role, you will observe and provide feedback on team members’ facilitation skills so this may require travel to client sites. You will provide coaching and follow up as needed, hold regular one-on-ones with all direct reports, build rapport, assist setting and tracking career goals, and provide performance feedback. You will manage a team of approximately 15-18 associates and assume all hiring responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Responsible for operational metrics and business results for assigned area of responsibility. Typically manages individual contributors and/or entry-level managers. Monitors consultant activities and performance on projects (e.g. read status reports, respond to staffing and availability issues, pro-actively seek out project performance reviews, etc.). May serve as project advisor for moderately complex engagements.
Basic Qualifications
At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
At least 4 years of consulting experience
At least 4 years total combined higher education and/or related work experience
At least 1 year of engagement and/or team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, business operations, and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
At least 1 year people management, matrix management, project management, or other indirect leadership work experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Expectations
Must be willing to travel up to 0-25%
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Hiring Range: from $92,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
