Job Description The goal of expanding acceptance and digitizing payments is not only a strategic necessity for the CEMEA (Central Europe Middle East Africa) region, but also a global priority for Visa. It allows Visa to integrate more participants into the financial economy, thereby generating substantial societal and business benefits.
The Acceptance Enablement role is a key component of the Merchant Sales & Acquiring Team in CEMEA and plays a significant role in the Acceptance & Enabler team. The individual in this role will be tasked with developing an Acceptance Enablement model aimed at standardizing a commercial offering to Payment Facilitators. This involves reducing the end-to-end enablement costs, which include reviewing interchange where relevant, processing costs, device costs, technology costs, and more. The commercial structures will incorporate a range of Visa and partner products and offerings, which will be developed under the supervision of this role.
Key markets that have been identified as crucial for accelerating acceptance and meeting our ambitious targets include Nigeria, DRC, Iraq, Egypt, and Ethiopia. It will be critical to gain a deep understanding of the acceptance landscape in these markets to determine the appropriate model to introduce.
The individual will be required to collaborate closely with Visa cross-functional teams to package a proposition and reposition Visa's product offering to meet the needs of a new client segment. The ideal candidate will have strong product and commercial acumen, a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end payment flow (both technical and commercial), and a proven ability to solve complex problems. They should be able to evaluate complex environments and propose solutions from design to implementation, with a focus on execution. A background in payments is preferred, along with experience in partnerships enablement and financial modelling.

Identify key issues to solve for and value proposition to enable acceptance deals, commercially viable to Visa and our partnersAnalyze data and interact with other market teams to identify acceptance development opportunities in key markets Ensure coordination with internal teams for the execution of the acceptance activitiesResponsible for standardizing commercial structures to be position with payment facilitators at scale, where key outcome is the number of incremental active Visa accepting merchantsDeliver target number of acceptance locations, revenue, volume and market penetration objectives This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
