Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities
Fleet & Critical Site Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Maintenance Specialist to plan, schedule, coordinate, and expedite work as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Interface with National Laboratories, Environmental Safety and Health (ESH&Q), Radiological Control, Maintenance, Services, Construction, Fleet, Nuclear Maintenance/Construction, Engineering, project managers, Superintendents, and craft personnel to prepare schedules.
Develop and execute weekly work schedules for CSI Departments, specializing in Power and Transportation, while generating comprehensive preventive maintenance work packages.
Conduct daily and weekly scheduling meetings with execution supervisors and craft to assure all customer needs and prioritize are being accommodated.
Work alongside superintendents and facility managers to create a friendly work environment, ensuring exceptional customer service. Provide, report, forecast, and maintain status updates for assigned work packages to the planning supervisor and work management systems such as Performance Reporting.
Schedule, coordinate, and expedite work as necessary to ensure completion times are met.
Ensure all required material is on hand prior to scheduling work. Work closely with customers and other scheduling groups to identify priorities and job requirements, coordinate access, establish work schedules, and report work progress.
Schedule work to minimize equipment downtime and customer inconvenience.
Contribute actively to the ongoing improvement of work control processes and procedures through active participation.
Utilize the scheduling database to provide up to date status reports regarding workload/backlog trends, work completion times, labor utilization, shop performance, and work order status.
Attend identified tier meetings.
Capture and share lessons learned and best practices.
Scan and close work packages to completion.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and experience with at least 5 years relevant, progressively responsible experience.
Experience with business software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and other Office tools.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System, (CMMS), (Maximo).
Working knowledge with Ghant Charts, Crystal Reports, BIRT, and/or Akwire Scheduling Software is highly desirable.
Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and offer guidance to a team of planners, schedulers, and staff to efficiently develop work plans and documents with minimal supervision.
The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. Department of Energy Q Clearance(position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in10 CFR Part 707.4 (http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=14b1c770db022992d237769fbe9fc519&mc=true&node=se10.4.707_14&rgn=div8) , “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Annual salary range for this position is $ 77,001.60 - $ 115,502.40.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
