Overview
This position for supporting the Treasury business in key risk identification, measurement and aggregation, and the understanding and management of risk through appropriate analytical practices and processes. Monitors the risk and control environment and may consult on and propose risk mitigating strategies and opportunities for process improvements. Will collaborate with all members of Treasury and their Risk partners, Regulatory Reporting, and Technology to develop/implement project plans and related methods to track progress and performance across key initiatives and programs, including for: the implementation of regulatory requirements, the remediation and mitigation of known risks and issues , and enhancements to current Treasury liquidity and balance sheet management processes.
Responsibilities
Change Management: Lead and oversee the development and execution of comprehensive project plans for the implementation of new and enhanced regulatory requirements within the Treasury Group.Collaborate with the technology team to ensure efficient integration of regulatory requirements into existing systems and platforms, providing guidance on any necessary enhancements or modificationsMonitoring and status tracking of identified gap and issue remediation effortsDrive continuous process improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of project management frameworks within the Treasury GroupData Analysis - Applies analytics to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness and translates results into meaningful solutions to improve decision making Business Support - Applies innovative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and makes recommendations to answer business objectives and lead change. Translates recommendations into communication materials to effectively present to colleagues for peer review and management. Applies sophisticated knowledge to produce advanced analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand complex business objectives and influence solution strategiesReporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, company trends, and risk factors. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. Enables insight into potential issues and mitigation of identified risks through reporting activities Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Finance or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Finance or Analytics
Preferred qualifications
Proven experience in project management within the banking sectorUnderstanding of Treasury regulatory requirements (e.g. Reg YY and 2052a Reporting), financial products, and trends within the banking industryCommunicates effectively with key stakeholders, including senior management, audit, regulatory authorities, and other relevant teams, to provide updates, manage expectations, and address any concernsAbility to summarize observations/findings effectively into a PowerPoint presentation and facilitate senior management (e.g., C-Suite) review and discussion.Strong aptitude and extensive usage of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Project Management tools (i.e., MPP, JIRA)
