Klaviyo is seeking an experienced attorney to support our rapidly growing business in APAC. As Senior Legal Counsel, APAC you will be the primary legal contact working in close collaboration with the business and operations teams on a broad spectrum of legal matters in the region.
This is a new role and a great opportunity for an incredible individual to make their mark and help build on Klaviyo's success in the APAC region.
How You Will Make a Difference
Supporting the business teams in building, delivering and executing Klaviyo's commercial strategy and expansion of business operations into APAC markets. Responsible for the management and oversight of a broad range of legal matters including commercial transactions, data privacy, regulatory compliance and business processes. Ensuring legal and operational compliance of APAC business with local laws and regulations Structuring, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements including master services agreements, data processing agreements, non-disclosure agreements and vendor agreements in support of Sales and Procurement teams. Working in close collaboration with Sales, Partnerships and GTM teams on transactional and go to market motions in region. Advising Product and Engineering teams on local legal compliance related to new and existing features and services. Anticipate internal and external business and regulatory issues and provide applicable legal advice. Developing, implementing and enhancing corporate and compliance policies and processes to meet requirements of local markets. Advising and assisting on broad scope of privacy matters to meet evolving requirements of local data protection laws.
Who You Are
Australian qualified lawyer OR admitted to practise law in an Australian state / territory with a strong in-house counsel experience, preferably at a SAAS company Good knowledge of privacy and data protection laws Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently. Pragmatic and solution-driven creative thinker with excellent business judgement; comfortable navigating legal and business risk Ability to multi-task and produce quality work product in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to form strong working relationships with diverse, cross functional business teams both regionally and globally

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation. This role is also eligible for competitive benefits and perquisites, subject to company policy and applicable law
Pay Range in Local Currency:
$228,000-$342,000 AUD
