JOB SUMMARY
The Senior IT Lean Portfolio Manager drives cross-functional alignment and achievement of IT Infrastructure & Delivery Shared Services (IDSS) and Global Technology (GT) strategic objectives. This role will actively manage the health and status of the IDSS portfolio of initiatives and programs to deliver our strategy including the creation and coordination of integrated project plans across IDSS. Functions as a central point of contact for ensuring IDSS teams are meeting their strategic commitments, leading to greater transparency, coordination and prioritization across the organization. Serves as a thought leader and change agent to help deliver our product operating model transformation through best in class portfolio management.
This role will help craft, gather, monitor progress and manage performance against IDSS Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to inform and shape current and future portfolio of work. Establishes visibility into the flow of work across the portfolio, monitoring work in progress, and driving ongoing quarterly and annual planning efforts. Supports IDSS portfolio governance and compliance with GT standards and tools for IT delivery. Establishes the foundation for a long-standing portfolio management capability within IDSS / GT and drives alignment with GT’s Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to ensure consistency in processes and approach.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SAFe / Agile software delivery and must be a motivated self-starter who seeks and identifies opportunities for relentless process improvement.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent relevant experience / certifications
7+ years overall experience managing complex strategic initiatives demonstrating:
Building and managing effective relationships across IT and Business stakeholders
Managing cross-functional, sourced, and matrixed technical or product teams
Resolving conflicts to drive direction and stakeholder alignment
Developing initiative performance management processes and metrics
Presenting/Communicating to senior and executive leaders
5+ years of Agile development experience with demonstrated knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
3+ years of experience in initiative portfolio management operations and portfolio / program governance and compliance
Clear communications and storytelling via presentations, key performance metrics, reports, and data
Robust analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop and communicate recommendations
Strong interpersonal skills that enable working with stakeholders from various functions/departments and the ability to influence without authority / direct accountability
Preferred:
5+ years experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) enterprise, including SAFe implementation efforts
2+ years of experience working in (or supporting) one of the following areas: Cloud technologies, Service Now Technologies, End-user technologies, or Information Security
Knowledge and expertise in Lean Portfolio Management practices
Organizational change management experience in driving large-scale transformation
Experience with project management technology tools including: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and Teams and solid understanding of PPM tools
Leading SAFe® (SA) SAFe Agilist Certification
SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) Certification
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Establish and manage the enterprise portfolio of work across the IDSS organization
Help develop and implement processes to prioritize, identify dependencies and risks, and report on cross-team interdependencies (engineering, network, applications, etc.).
Liaise with Global Technology stakeholders to ensure prioritization, dependencies, and portfolio-level risks across strategic initiatives are understood.
Engage Portfolio Leaders across Global Technology to drive thoughtful prioritization of work and develop capacity measures to improve predictability of outcomes
Provide key insights on the flow of work through enterprise portfolio Kanban. Work with product teams to monitor and help report progress throughout delivery
Work with product leaders across the organization to establish Portfolio Roadmap(s) and implement on going quarterly planning efforts
Establish portfolio of Key Performance Indicators and OKR measures to inform and influence the delivery of work against strategic priorities and organizational mandates
Facilitate standing Portfolio Sync meetings, including required inputs, captured learning/decisions, and actionable outcomes for stakeholders and executive leaders
Collaborate with organizational leaders and product teams to implement, scale, and continuously improve portfolio management practices by leveraging the Scaled Agile Lean Portfolio Management Framework
Provide thought leadership and expertise on Lean Portfolio Management best practices in an environment with products in different stages of their agile journey
Develops and executes clear communications across IT regarding program standards and processes

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $190,154.00 annually.
Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $116,205.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
