Overview
Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small businesses and we are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join our Mobile team. We help millions of customers worldwide to strengthen their brands and expand their businesses using our suite of tech tools, including marketing automation, CRM, multichannel campaign, and analytics.
In this role, you will largely contribute to creating and enhancing our mobile app's features and functions, making Mailchimp more accessible on-the-go for our users. You will be part of a tight-knit, mobile-focused team that values creativity, independence, learning, and collaboration.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve working closely with design and engineering team members to build and improve features from concept through implementation. You should be a methodical and clean coder, adhering to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices at all times.
You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and mentor fellow team members. Part of your role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving issues, thereby securing the high performance of our applications. You will be expected to participate in design reviews, share ideas, and estimate and prioritize workloads.
What you'll bring
Previous software development experience focusing on native iOS applications using technologies such as Swift, SwiftUI, and working knowledge of Objective-C.Proficiency in mobile technologies, including asynchronous networking, push notifications, analytics frameworks, and app size optimization.Experience in local data persistence technologies and strategies.Strong programming skills, understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.Ability to independently design the components of the application with minimal guidance,Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application issues.Experience following best practices for automated and manual testingCommitment to improving development velocity by using paved paths and ensuring build and infrastructure automation.
How you will lead
In addition to your technical skills, you should be a well-rounded team player with a track record of working closely with product managers and designers in a professional software development space. You should have excellent decision-making abilities and written communication skills. Experience in managing or participating in on-call responsibilities and a client-centered approach are also required.
