Senior Investment Analyst - Client Operations
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in our Hartford office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
This position is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in providing innovative, technical, and operational solutions to our clients to meet their investment, accounting and regulatory data and reporting needs with HIMCO. The candidate will also work closely with our largest vendors, prioritizing and supporting key initiatives impacting our investment process.

Team / Function Overview
The Client Operations team is part of the Business Operations team and is responsible for providing solutions to our clients for their data and reporting needs, overseeing our largest vendors (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin/ eFront and Bloomberg), coordinating our Business Resiliency & Facilities Management activities, and leading our Enterprise Data Governance committee .
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
This is a highly visible position. Successful incumbents will be responsible for :
Troubleshooting daily production issues for our clients related to data, reporting, accounting, and market data issues .
Assisting in the onboarding of new clients, specifically understanding the client data needs and working with the various teams across HIMCO to determine the optimal implementation solution .
Managing client enhancements such as changes to existing reports or data feeds as well as developing new workflow data feeds to support HIMCO investment teams and clients.
Maintaining relationships with our largest vendors, including BlackRock Aladdin/ eFront.and Bloomberg .
Working with our vendors to understand future functionality/releases and how these releases may impact external and internal clients.
Working with internal BlackRock Aladdin/ eFront users in resolving data, reporting, technical and analytical issues with the investment software
Preparing management reporting on key performance indicators.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Qualified candidates will have the following:
BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus .
5 to 7 + years of experience in Investment Management Operations or Middle Office roles.
Broad understanding of securities processing and settlement practices across Fi xed I ncome, E quity, D erivatives, and A lternative A sset classes .
Experienced with Bloomberg for Public Asset research and with Excel for reporting and analytics.
A basic understanding of Project Management methodologies. BlackRock Aladdin, Accounting, and Performance Measurement systems experience a plus.
High degree of initiative and intellectual curiosity .
Exceptional analytical skills, detail oriented, and strong oral and written communications skill s a must .
Must be a collaborator , problem solver, critical thinker, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently on concurrent tasks and adhere to deadlines with evolving priorities.
Able to meet high expectations for precision and accuracy.
Willingness to develop leadership skills and take ownership of complex workflows and projects.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$99,280 - $148,920
