Become a Senior HR Business Partner at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job you'll be the primary strategic HR resource to leadership within an assigned geographic territory. You'll p rovide thought leadership, guidance, and support to executives, leaders, and employees at all levels of the organization on HR/people related matters and be the face of HR. This requires business acumen that will be demonstrated by staying connected to big picture priorities and needs, lower-level business objectives as well as building an understanding of financial and resource health to strategically advise. You will leverage overall knowledge of human resources programs and practices to provide a cohesive view of strategic and tactical people efforts. This position has accountability to lead and manage the development and implementation of long- and short-term strategies and plans that will improve the workforce environment/culture, and will work beyond HR to bring together data, insights, and perspectives that will shape the direction of employee programs, processes, and systems. The HRBP will identify and share best practices and identify early indicators of needs that will enable the development of people solutions.

Act as an advisor and thought partner to leadership providing guidance and direction on people and organizational issues. Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the business to share on workforce trends and strategies with leaders and key stakeholders. Lead and support the design, development, prioritization, and execution of people strategies through identification of relevant HR solutions with a high-level of independence, leveraging centralized HR functions (COEs) as appropriate. Build relationships at all levels and engage in regular discussions with leaders to ensure understanding of Operating Unit (OU) and geographic strategic plans, priorities, challenges, opportunities, and related people implications. Partner and collaborate with BP and COE colleagues to proactively influence the development, evolution, refinement, and implementation of aligned HR solutions. Provide OCM partners advice and support on OCM and communication plans. Partner with employees and leaders to ensure improvements in workforce environment and values-driven behavior. Consult with leaders ranging from frontline supervisors to executives to evaluate issues, assess options, and offer constructive feedback on approaches/strategies that will lead to appropriate action or result for their location(s). Lead and oversee work environment matters and lead coordination of actions or influence and work with leaders in corrective actions. Coach leaders and individual contributors on conflict resolution, where needed. Conduct proactive outreach efforts aligned with the people strategy and/or related workforce engagement strategies addressing the work environment. Provide feedback and coaching to leaders on people-related matters. Consult with leadership teams to share insights and recommend solutions to systematically address and improve work environment deficiencies. Act as a "safe space" listening post; speak for employees to address issues when they are not comfortable speaking up.
Qualifications
The essentials
Ten or more years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or equivalent HR generalist role. Five or more years' experience successfully operating in a strategic HR Business Partnering role with substantial and regular interaction and direct partnership with senior business executives and leadership teams . Two years of experience coaching employees and leaders. Two years of experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
The preferred
Demonstrated experience with large-scale organizational change and restructuring initiatives. Ability to make thoughtful, strategic decisions that have significant organizational impact. Coaching certification. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships at all levels, including senior level executives.

The work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
