The Amazon HR team is passionate about business partnering in its truest sense. Reporting to the Snr HR Manager, EU TOM (Transportation Operations Management), you will play a critical role in organization development and design, developing and delivering the HR plan across DE. You will work closely with the senior leadership teams and the wider HR team, utilizing your excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills to drive employee engagement and manage change.
As Snr HR Business Partner you will partner the senior operational team in your region operating with high levels of autonomy. You will have exposure to many different aspects of the business and have the opportunity to work on national and international HR projects. There is a potential for this role to evolve in to a people manager position, long term.
Whatever you focus on, it will all be aimed at delivering the highest quality service to our internal and external customers.
As an experienced Senior Generalist, you’ll lead and inspire the team around you. Your open communication and credible decision making will help Deliver Results within the site at a fast pace, you’ll definitely be someone with a Bias for Action. Most importantly, you’ll be fair, pragmatic and commercial - someone who is proactive, who enjoys being visible and delivering tangible results to your customers and the business as a whole.
Key job responsibilities
The Snr HRBP works as part of the core HR team, developing and delivering the HR plans whilst ensuring, the effective delivery of an excellent, customer-focused HR service to the operations team.

Recruitment and Selection
As an Amazon Snr HRBP you’ll be passionate about Hiring and Developing the Best – it’s one of our Leadership Principles. As our business continues to grow – so too do our opportunities! You’ll be involved in shaping and recruiting your own team and in recruitment panels for Senior Leadership roles at both a Local and National level, identifying those who can become true Amazonian’s. You’ll manage recruitment and the agency partnerships through your team to ensure the site Labour needs are met. You will also partner the EU Talent Acquisition team, helping them to further develop the recruitment plan, the employer brand and constantly innovate to ensure the site remains an employer of choice in the local area.
Employee Relations & Engagement

You will have Ownership for ensuring that fair, consistent and transparent employee relations processes are applied to this function, making it a great place to work. You will lead and partner projects to develop and implement employment policies and procedures Thinking Big about any international integration. You’ll Earn the Trust of Others by forming strong relationships on site and with HR counterparts, allowing you to ‘monitor the pulse’ of employees and from there drive continuous improvement in engagement. Your expertise in the field will allow you to support and advise your team and your customers on complex ER cases, Insisting on the Highest Standards in case management.
Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning
Our continuous Leadership reviews ensures that the great people we employ are developed and grow within our business. You’ll be the Leader of Talent Development across the function, you’ll own the succession plan and utilise these tools and the information they generate to identify the leaders of the future – our business is continuing to grow and we want to develop our people internally. You will take on the role of a coach and will work closely with your managers and the HR team, mentoring and supporting them in the fulfilment of their personal goals and those of their teams. Partnering with the EU L&D team you will identify the learning interventions required for site Management team and participate in National L&D projects and initiatives.

ATS (also known as the ‘Middle Mile’) supports all Amazon Operational functions to deliver to the customer.

Basic Qualifications
A degree
Relevant HR experience, ideally within a multi-site, high volume, fast paced and customer-focused environment.
Proven ability to build internal networks and influence without authority
Ability to think naturally about EU impacts
Possess problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing ambiguity and analyzing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plans
Have the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels including hourly paid
Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable.
Demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence others
Possess strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills
Have intellectual curiosity; bring valuable insight into the team / business
Have lead complex change management and/or led key HR project implementations
Awareness of Employee/ Industrial relations
