The Senior Health Equity Strategist will develop the organization's strategic direction and coordination of health care equity to reduce or eliminate health disparities for enrollees in Oklahoma. The work assignments involve complex health issues of populations where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify policies and practices adversely affecting groups of people with social or economic obstacles to health.Ensure the delivery of services to members in a culturally responsive manner.Engage diverse families to design services and interventions that integrate care and address childhood adversity and traumaObtain and incorporate input from members who have disparate outcomes.Ensure that members test outward facing communications for understanding and cultural appropriateness.Partner with community-based organizations to address social determinants of health-related needs.Develop a pathway for diverse health and social service providersEnsure members are supported through diverse and culturally responsive Community Health Worker, Peer Support Specialists and Doula programs.Develop and collaborate on strategies to reduce maternal and child health disparities for enrollees and their newborns and improve child and adolescent health.MUST RESIDE IN OKLAHOMA

REQUIRED QUALIFICATONS
Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, Health Services Research, Health Policy, or another relevant field3+ years of experience in health equity, service coordination, ambulatory care, community public health, care management, or care coordination across multiple settings and with multiple providers.Ability to analyze data and make data-driven recommendations for quality improvement.Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective relationships with a broad array of people internally and externally, including community partners.Experience with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.Ability to take personal initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATONS
Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, Health Services Research, Health Policy, or another relevant fieldPrevious Medicaid or Managed Care experience
