Senior Global Marketing Director, Specialty Care Hepatology
T his role is a 12 month secondment and whilst ideally based from GSK House, it can be based from your country of origin.
We have an exciting opportunity to work on a launch brand in a fast-paced, high performing cross functional team as the Senior Global Marketing Director leading Launch Excellence and Life cycle management for a Hepatology asset currently in Phase 3.
The asset is in development to treat cholestatic pruritus of PBC. It is part of an innovative class of IBAT inhibitors, designed to revolutionize standard of care for those patients suffering from the debilitating and unrelenting, under-the-skin itch of cholestatic pruritus.
This itch cannot be relieved from scratching and presents a high unmet need, given the large physical, social, and emotional burden it poses for patients. The market and competitive dynamics are complex and evolving, which drive the need for strategic thinking in the midst of ambiguity.
The asset has been granted orphan drug designation, is a key late-stage asset within the Specialty Therapeutic Area and is anticipated to be the first entry into Hepatology for GSK.
With no new treatments for the treatment of CP in PBC for over 60 years, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that will address a significant unmet that can have significant QoL impact leading to life-threatening consequences if not addressed.
The Senior Global Marketing Director, reporting to the Medicines Commercialization Lead, will play a critical role in preparing for launch by driving an innovative go to market approach.
This is a senior strategic marketing role on the team and will be a pivotal position from which to lead cross-functional teams and prepare our local operating companies for successful pre-launch prep and successful uptake at launch.
In addition you will also be responsible for commercial input into life cycle management decisions.
As the Senior Global Marketing Director, you will lead the strategic and operational business planning efforts with our core country partners and a broad cross-functional team.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead lifecycle management strategy to drive additional value for the asset.Develop the global launch plan across customer segments including Patient, HCP, and Payer, in partnership with key cross functional partners and markets.Lead launch planning and launch excellence activities and look for ways to accelerate launch timing as well as uptake.Develop and lead innovative go to market strategies to support a rare disease launch based on internal and external insights and best practices from within and outside the organization.Provide guidance on required investments and capabilities to optimize asset performance.Develop KPIs to align to plans and track and measure progress.Drive deliverables and workstreams related to governance and organisational decision making.Partner with Insights to deliver the Global Forecast aligned to strategy, generating recommended assumptions and strategic inputCollaborate closely with other members of the brand team who have responsibility for setting brand strategy, shaping disease awareness, and creating marketing campaigns/tacticsPreferred Qualifications/Behaviours Graduate level of Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, MPharm)Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, balanced with strong operational experience at market and/or regional/global level.Track record of successfully leading cross functional teams across geographiesAbility to inspire accountability and influence without direct authority at all levels of the organization.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the agility to adapt style and approach as needed across all levels of the organization.Launch experience and demonstrated ability to shape the market and utilise innovative go to market approaches.
