Who we're looking for
The Toyota Financial Services Corporate Finance team is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior FPA OPEX Analyst.
Reporting to the FP&A Manager the primary responsibility of this role is to lead strategic business discussions for highly complex areas including periodic updates to management committee members on performance measurement. The role will take a critical consultative role in assessing business case NPV and ROI analysis. The role will lead efforts to align technology and initiative financial planning processes with best practices across Finance while providing transparency around investment spend and value delivery. This role works closely with accounting to ensure proper alignment of actual expenses for management reporting. The role may also lead and guide Senior Financial Analysts as needed.
What you'll be doing
Performance Measurement and Reporting
Lead role in management and development of financial planning discipline for team.
Lead executive level discussions to provide visibility, transparency, and insightLead discussions with internal FP&A team leaders and senior executivesLead development of monthly and quarterly reporting providing analysis at a consolidated as well as individual businesses and initiative viewsProvide consolidations and analysis of financial reportingLead and administer effective execution in the planning/forecasting processes in terms of timing, frequency, and depth of information provided.
Strategic Expense Management - Financial Planning and Analysis
Lead role in all aspects of managing the OPEX Planning function for highly complex and business critical areas. This includes ensuring alignment of operational expense related activities with company initiatives and strategic objectives:
Challenge assumptions, validate rationale, and identify risks and opportunities in the plan and forecasts. Integrate multiple views and perspectives into a consistent forecast narrative to clarify complex and involved situations.Partner and collaborate with other FP&A groups and Business Unit leaders to manage the development of short and long range plan deliverables (monthly forecasts and outlooks, quarterly TFSC forecasts, annual plan, 5-year plan, etc.).Produce and enhance business unit operating financial insights tailored to the various targeted audiences and their business needs to highlight risks and opportunities to help optimize their operating expense.Provide financial and analytical insight and guidance for project cost benefit analysis/business cases (NPV, ROI)Lead the month end activities for consolidated as well as business unit groups. Drive executive level discussions for recommendations and transparency.Manage and produce business case status reporting with broader OPEX team to ensure timely completion of end to end business case process.
Special Projects
Lead on special projects to identify and drive solutions.
Develop and drive discussion via partnering with stakeholders to effect desired outcome on assigned projectsSupport the business or project team with consultative and advisory role with sounding financial analysisLead a project to enhance reporting and analysis with innovative solutions
Qualifications
What you bring
Bachelor's DegreeAt least 5 years of experience of financial analysis workAt least 5 years of experience/Aptitude for Financial Planning, and Reporting systems (i.e. Hyperion Planning, SAP, Essbase, SmartView, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI)Must be Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerpointStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative; ability to multi-taskAbility to quickly learn new applications or software toolsExcellent written, oral communication, presentation, ability to influence and change management skills
