The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Flight Training Technical Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA . This position is in support of global flight training standardization across our global simulator campuses. The selected candidate will need to have strong communication skills, written, verbal and listening.
This is a non-flying position; however, the selected candidate for this role requires a pilot license and experience to be able to speak and provide support to its team and stakeholders.
In addition, this role will require the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
Position Responsibilities:
Represents Flight Training to internal and external stakeholder groups
Applies aviation knowledge to perform professional activities to support Flight Training and Global Flight Training Standardization
Provides input and feedback to drive change to internal processes, instructor training
Facilitates collaboration across cross-functional work groups
Provides status reporting of team activities and metrics to leadership
Promotes global instructor standardization, providing coordination and collaborating with our global campuses
Liaises with Flight Training management to analyze and review instructor standardization; recommends changes that would improve the level of standardization with a focus on technology, software, and data-based solutions
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) transport pilot rating or military equivalent
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time
3+ years of experience in commercial airline operations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience as an Instructor Pilot
Experience or willingness to embrace Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) courseware delivery, to include student and instructor tutoring assessment of competency
Ability to prioritize work requirements with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills with business acumen; technically savvy with an iPad, familiar with Microsoft Office to include Excel, PowerPoint
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $119,850 – $162,150
