We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst who consistently exceeds expectations to join our Worldwide Installments (Buy Now, Pay Later) team.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the team to lead strategic and financial planning processes for Worldwide Installments, responsible for controllership of monthly financial reporting, developing and reporting on financial and operational business performance metrics, and providing analytical support for Senior Business Management. This will involve partnering with Data Science to assess trends, and proactively identify areas of opportunity and risk. This position will be a key risk/controllership gateway for the payments business and requires a candidate with strong communication and leadership skills. A portion of the time will be spent on ad hoc analysis to support the growing business needs. The finance team works closely with the business teams, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams. Strong analytical skills are required.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, or CPA
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Advanced complex financial modeling skills and data querying skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal guidance or supervision
Can easily translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions
Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
5+ years of finance experience in a large, multinational organization with world-class processes
5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
Solid business judgment and controllership focus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
