Description
The AMZL Under the Roof Execution (UTRX) team’s primary objective is to proactively identify shift opportunities, quantify entitlements, and conduct return on investment (ROI) analyses that drive UTR operational execution. The Senior Financial Analyst is a thought leader in an ambiguous environment managing remote partnerships, navigating a matrixed organization, and supporting optimal cost decision to deliver on network commitments.
Key job responsibilities
Identify basic process gaps and control risks. Evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to remediate gaps.
Use financial systems and advanced Excel functions to work with large data sets.
Work with a variety of data sources. Identify incomplete or inaccurate data, identify root causes of data issues, escalate discrepancies, fix data where possible.
Perform in-depth data analytics.
Drive standardization across geographies and businesses and leverage automation to maximize efficiency.
Use active listening skills and communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear and concise manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
Exercise backbone and conduct difficult conversations around sensitive topics professionally, confidentially and with empathy.
Identify and implement solutions to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.
Make thoughtful time management decisions independently. Take a methodical and organized approach to project management and task management. Prioritize work, resolve issues, meet deadlines, and seek feedback from manager. Discern between urgent and non-urgent issues and act accordingly to solve them.
Drive own self-development in the Finance Community. Seek opportunities to expand finance expertise. Participate in events, initiatives, and projects, then share gained knowledge.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
