The International Stores Central Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a high visibility role in our planning and forecasting functions for our expanding International Stores business. While it’s always “Day 1” at Amazon, this is especially the case in the International Stores business, as we continue to delight new customers across the world. We currently have dedicated marketplaces outside of North America in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, India, Japan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Singapore, and are growing in foot print each year.
This role will have interaction with VP level finance leaders across the globe and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the short-term and long-term financial forecasting processes for the International Stores Finance organization.
• Develop mechanisms and reporting to increase visibility and create insights of regional outputs to International Stores Finance senior leadership. Drive accountability of financial plans/forecasts and comfortably challenge assumptions.
• Develop and standardize financial reports across all International Stores regions as well as global program teams.
• Partner closely with multiple regional finance leaders and FP&A organizations across the International Stores business to establish robust forecasting models and variance analysis. Identify and drive process improvement initiatives, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports.
• Drive performance by reinforcing and enhancing metrics through analytics and financial modelling.
• Provide deep analytics and communicate effectively to senior business team leaders.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
