Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) team to drive business insights and develop metrics that support business growth. Supporting customer and business insights, you will be responsible for data modeling, QuickSight migration, ad-hoc reporting, and long term analytical and statistical projects. You will support cross-functional stakeholders and work with multiple sources and a wide range of data technologies / sources (e.g. PowerBI, Quicksight, SQL etc.).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with development of metrics and business analytics, and have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies, and a strong understanding of Data Warehouse (DW) concepts, while dealing with ambiguity. Excellent business and communication skills are a must to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions. You should be able to work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement reporting solutions.
Key job responsibilities
• Create mechanisms for non-technical stakeholders to self-serve data
• Look for opportunities to simplify and automate redundant processes
• Facilitate the intake of requests from the field to help improve reporting options operational support
• Rationalize existing reporting that has been built and creating additional reports that should be maintained centrally
• Accurately capture and translate the requirements of the stakeholders (Operations, Field Finance, etc.) into technical requests to the partner tech teams
• Have ability to independently influence and drive outputs, meet deadlines, and set clear expectations and roadmaps.
• Understand how data flows through our financial platforms and know the right data to use for analysis, and establish a source of truth to support field operations
• Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree
3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Strong ability to create reporting solutions in QuickSight
