Senior Financial Analyst | Card Central OpEx Finance
The Card Services Finance team, within Card Finance, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Central OpEx Finance team. The Central OpEx Finance team is responsible for supporting the Card organization, including analysis, forecasting and reporting for Total Card Operating Expense, as well as performing ad hoc analysis to drive efficiencies within the space. This role includes data analysis, forecasting, and strategic partnership with the business and across Finance, where storytelling on top of the deep understanding of OpEx will be needed. The ideal candidate is someone who is analytically curious, enjoys financial analytics, and is excited to help drive an important aspect of the Card business.

Senior Financial Analysts perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements and frequently build reports for higher level associates; provide management and business clients with project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.
The role require strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:
Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior audiences
Responsibilities:
Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
Collaborate with system analysts to maintain and develop system to house models
Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data
Assist in development of business presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams
Independently manage and prioritize workload
Perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other financial statements
Frequently create reports for senior management
Provide management and business clients with project statuses
Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 1+ year of experience in financial analysis
At least 1+ year of experience with financial modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
At least 2 years experience in financial analysis
At least 2 years experience with financial modeling
At least 1 year experience partnering with internal stakeholders
At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or a combination
At least 1 year of experience using SQL, Python, or a combination
