  Amazon Ads is seeking a strong Senior Financial Analyst to perform Advertising Financial Planning and Analysis for our rapidly growing ads business. This role will work across Amazon Ads to lead management of AWS Infrastructure costs. The successful candidate will partner closely across Advertising business and finance teams to drive planning and controllership efforts, and will have significant exposure to the Ads Finance and Business leadership teams. This role will also participate in partnership discussions to help drive improvements across the broader AWS stakeholder community.The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to be both strategic and analytical in their approach, while effectively managing the financial responsibilities of a complex cost and revenue structure. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies, while dealing with big data.Key job responsibilities* Creating, improving, and updating financial models to promote efficient use of infrastructure resources* Partnering with business and finance teams to support appropriate attribution of AWS costs in financial reporting* Manage the financial planning process for both short term and long term. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions* Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investment across Ads* Drive multi-million dollar cost optimization opportunities* Serve as the Ads representative in AWS stakeholder forums to influence process and rate developments* Lead monthly financial reporting process for infrastructure costs* Establish tight internal controls for project spending and improve customer experience* Be a thought leader to turn thinking-big ideas into implementation of scalable systems in line with business growth* Do deep-dives to understand drivers of advertising revenue and identify opportunities for improvement* Provide ad-hoc financial analyses that assist decision-making by senior leadership* Uphold an environment of ethical practices and exercise financial controllershipA day in the lifeThis role will support FP&A insights and analytics, delivering business-transforming proposals such as identifying economic drivers of various ads products and optimizing account level resourcing and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical acumen, a passion for big data driven analysis, and an excellent track record of influencing business and finance partners. A successful candidate will be a finance professional equally comfortable with thinking big and driving sound decision-making through detailed financial analysis. This individual will be able to approach complex problems in highly ambiguous situations, and efficiently complete deliverables in partnership with a large group of stakeholders.About the teamAdvertising FP&A is the finance team that serves as the central connection point between the various Advertising Product Finance teams, and between Amazon Advertising and other Amazon businesses.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of Tableau- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/ye
