Senior Financial Analyst
What does a successful Senior Financial Analyst do at Fiserv?
In this position, you will support the Enterprise Sales Finance team through financial and business-related expense analysis and research. We are a fast-paced team focused on providing insight to our internal clients through creative and thoughtful analysis and reporting. You will be asked to maintain flexibility, quickly understand internal client needs, and work towards becoming a subject matter expert for our sales and finance partners. In return, you will be provided opportunities to develop your skills as a senior financial analyst while learning Fiserv’s business.
What you will do:
Support the senior sales leaders through quarterly reporting, budget setting, forecasting, and a variety of ad hoc analyses.
Lead the sales organization's capitalization and reconciliation process, working closely with the sales compensation team.
Partner with Human Resources to ensure alignment with the sales team hiring strategy and budget.
Participate in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of various journal entries.
Build hypotheses and analyses to identify and recommend business operational improvements that result in improved company performance.
Conduct special financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in preparing analyses.
Clearly communicate financial information to peers, management, and other key partners, including C-level presentations
Maintain the highest integrity in professional work products and relationships.
Work with business divisions to develop and implement standard methodologies.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and Corporate Policy
Prepare ad hoc analyses appropriate for all levels of the organization.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience Combination of educational background, related work experience, and/or military experience.
2+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance.
What would be great to have:
Proactive and motivated to be involved in special projects to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Payments/Card Services reporting process.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Access SAP, BPC, and Business Explorer.
Knowledge of finance and accounting theories, principles, and practices.
Able to interpret financial statements.
MBA.
