This position, based in London, reports to the Manager, Finance & Operations within the General Counsel’s Organization.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The successful candidate will support the Manager with providing financial support to the International Managing Counsel groups. Such key tasks include:
Analyzing and tracking Outside Counsel budgets
Reviewing legal invoices in Legal Tracker
Screening of Outside Counsel invoices to ensure appropriate financial controls
Communicating with Outside Counsel firms on invoice discrepancies
Ensuring Global Retainer Agreements are in place and current
Communicating and enforcing AXP and GCO policies
Support legal loss and legal reserves reporting efforts
Prepare and run reports in Legal Tracker
Invoice preparation for processing across multiple markets across International
Review and action ad-hoc queries from GSM
Attend to quarter- and year-end processes including preparation of quarterly accruals for GCO budget
Support GCO attorneys across EMEA, APAC and LAC with ad-hoc queries relating to Legal Tracker and Outside Counsel budget
Cross-collaborate with other colleagues within the Finance & Operations team and the Legal Operations team
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Strong accounting and financial acumen
Good eye for detail
Ability to summarize information into key insights
A consultative approach with key stakeholders
A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
Excellent relationship skills
A strong work ethic, solution orientated and will-to-win
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
